PIB offers quality and value with its series of full ceramic bearings. Standard version is open, full complement with sizes ranging from 3mm-80mm bore, and up to ABEC 5 precision. Ceramic bearings are ideal for highly corrosive environments, needing little lubrication and offer many advantages, including:

PIB Full Ceramic bearings are made from advanced ceramic material zirconia and silicon nitride. PIB’s bearings can be made with PTFE or PEEK seals upon request. Cage materials are also made of the same Peek material, as well as PA66 (nylon). Bearing race and ball material are offered in both ZrO2 or Si3N4 ceramic.

PIB executes quality process and controls in the manufacturing of its line of full ceramic bearings. In the raw material processing, PIB uses a 48 hour treatment to create smaller and more uniform particles increasing the reliability of the end product. Bearings are then dry press molded using a CIP (Cold Isostatic Press) molding process. Pre-Sintering or full Sintering is done for the creation of bearing blanks. The inner and outer races are then machined. The machining controls accuracy allowing for precise radial clearance and tolerances. Next, PIB assembles the bearings during which a controlled quality inspection is performed for tolerance, vibration and noise testing. The same inspection is performed following the assembly to further approve quality.
