Slit Couplings

Ruland slit couplings, offered by Pacific International Bearing Sales, are precision-engineered for high-performance motion control applications requiring zero-backlash, smooth torque transmission, and low bearing loads. Manufactured from a single piece of 7075 aluminum with a patented slit pattern, they deliver a unique balance of high torsional stiffness, misalignment accommodation, and vibration resistance—ideal for motor-to-ball screw or gearbox connections in industries such as medical, semiconductor, solar, and test and measurement. Available in two styles: the RL-series for greater stiffness and misalignment handling, and the RS-series for high-speed, compact setups. Clamp and set screw versions are offered, with set screw styles supporting speeds up to 70,000 RPM and micro-bore sizes as small as 1.5mm. Slit couplings are RoHS3 and REACH compliant and stocked in bore sizes from 1.5mm to 12mm and 1/8” to 3/8”.
